Frequently asked questions
How many credits does a scan cost?
An AI scan costs 1 credit, however many pages the sheet has. Every plan includes scans each month (5, 15 or 40). Beyond that, a credit costs $0.75 to $1.30 depending on the pack: 10 scans for $12.99, 50 scans for $49.99, 200 scans for $149.99.
Does a failed scan use a credit?
No. If the AI can't read the document (blurry photo, unreadable file), no credit is used. Manual entry is free and unlimited.
Do unused scans roll over?
Included scans reset every month. Purchased credits stay valid for 12 months.
How big is a sheet? How many sheets fit in my storage?
A sheet takes about 0.9 MB on average, so 1 GB holds about 1,000 sheets. In practice: 5 GB ≈ 5,000 sheets, 10 GB ≈ 10,000 sheets, 25 GB ≈ 25,000 sheets. An uploaded file can be up to 25 MB.
How does the free trial work?
You pick your plan when you sign up. The first 3 days are free, with up to 3 AI scans. Your subscription starts after that, unless you cancel first.
Who can use Pictogard in my company?
Admins scan, edit and publish sheets; how many you get depends on the plan. Members look up sheets and first aid. Anyone with an email on your company domain views for free, and you can invite up to 5 outside people (contractors, agencies).
What if I don't have a company email?
You can subscribe with Gmail, Hotmail or another personal address, but the account is then limited to 5 users in total, admins included.
Does it work without a signal?
Yes. Published sheets are kept on the phone or tablet. Without a signal, search and first aid stay available, as long as the app was opened once while online.
Are my old WHMIS 1988 sheets accepted?
Yes. They keep their original symbols and are flagged as outdated, so you can ask the supplier for the WHMIS 2015 version.
Does Pictogard replace the supplier's sheet?
No. It's a quick-access tool. The original sheet remains the reference and is always available from the product. When in doubt, call 911.
